Hey friend,
Writing to you from Austin, Texas today, and this place is incredible.
If I weren't living in BC or had no family, I would seriously consider moving to this place.
I did a podcast with Codie Sanchez just the other day. Today, my schedule is packed from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., with workouts and meetings with incredible movers and shakers.
Working out with my friend, the CEO coach Ayman and ran into Codie and her husband Chris.
Later in the week, I'll attend a newsletter conference with some of the industry's biggest names.
The density of entrepreneurs, founders, and creators in this area is unmatched in any other area of the world.
When it comes to success, proximity is power.
Anywho, I still love my family, my life, where I live, and the people I surround myself with daily.
But if I were younger, single, and trying to speed up my trajectory, I'd move here in a heartbeat.
That said...
Here Is Your 4 Minute Friday:
1. The Surprising Drink That Helps You Supercharge Performance
After working with hundreds of entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals, I have found that lack of time is the #1 enemy of their workouts.
I know, I know. It's not about time; it's about priorities, right?
Well, no. In many cases, time and energy are limited when someone has a career, family, a dog, friends, and all sorts of other responsibilities.
There's a solution for that: Superset training.
A new (yet to be released study) took resistance-trained participants compared 1 group that did traditional sets and another doing supersets.
Both groups showed similar muscle growth, strength, power, and endurance improvements.
But the coolest thing? The superset group finished their workouts almost 36% faster than the traditional group.
If you're short on time, supersets might be your answer. 💪🏽
This is why we call our flagship fat loss program the Lean Body 90.
You can achieve the same results in only three thirty-minute sessions a week, giving you more time to do what you love.
2. Eat This Food To Reduce Your Risk Of Alzheimer's By 47%
The other day, I was speaking to a friend whose grandparents are suffering from dementia.
You probably know this already, but Alzheimer's is one of the worst, heartbreaking diseases in the world. It destroys memory, cognition, and personality, causing suffering for both patients and families.
Well, there might be some good news for you.
A study of 1,024 older adults (average age 81) found those eating eggs more than once weekly had a 47% lower risk of Alzheimer's and dementia.
Brain autopsies from 578 participants confirmed less Alzheimer's in egg eaters due to their choline content.
Eggs are nature's multivitamin that goes beyond being yummy or having protein. Regular egg consumption might protect your brain as you age.
Remember, though, this is just one study showing a correlation. But with brain health, every slight advantage helps.
❤️ My Favourite Thing This Week
One thing you have to know about me is that I take my sleep seriously.
I consider myself to be a sleep athlete. It's the lead domino where all great things come from.
Over the past decade, I've tried a lot of sleep masks. At this point, you could say I'm a sleep mask connoisseur.
I can say with full confidence that the Alaska Bear Sleep Mask is the best damn sleep mask on the planet especially if you're a side sleeper.
First, I hate it when sleep masks go over your ears. Can't stand it. The Alaska Bear Sleep Mask, on the other hand, goes above the ear, not on it.
Next, the contours around the eyes make it nearly impossible for light to penetrate. It's like I'm sleeping in legit complete darkness.
Finally, they're cheap! They cost about $20. I bought three of them for my home, travel, and emergency.
I have no affiation to them. I wish I could discount you, but they're already inexpensive.
If you want better sleep, grab them over here or search them on Amazon.
Sweet dreams, my high performer.
Client Of The Week - Brandon Wagoner, COO
Brandon is an entrepreneur who struggled with going to the gym and eating healthy. He wants to get in shape to become a better dad to his kids and a better husband to his wife.
In 12 weeks, we lost 35 pounds and 7 inches from his waistline, and his energy levels are through the roof. In a full year, we lost a total of 105 pounds, and he's crushing life on ALL LEVELS.
Here's how we did it:
- We focused on falling in love with the gym by using it as a place to get stronger.
- We walked every single day. 10k steps. He did this as a habit, and it turned out to be one of his favorite parts of the day.
- We had him go from eating his emotions to using food as fuel.
- High protein and nutrient-dense foods were the gas to crush his goals and improve his energy levels.
The best part is he's not dragging his feet anymore and has so much energy that he's running circles around his kids and business.
