The other day I found myself in a mental state of worry and lack.

It happens from time to time as old programming has a way of making its way back in.

I found myself thinking about why my progress wasn't fast enough, why I was "behind", and fears about what type of impact it would have on my family.

Then the "higher" side of me entered the conversation.

It reminded me to focus on what's in front of me, put my energy into the process & control what I can control.

We can only think of one thing at a time so it's best to put our thoughts towards something more progressive.

This is all we can do my friend. Worrying is wasted energy. Dwelling on worry is to take the energy away from the actions.

Control what you can control, focus on the process & the results speak for themselves.

Do this and the outcomes usually take care of themselves.

3 Ways To Become a Better Human

1. Benefits of Psyllium Husk

When you consume psyllium husk it traps cholesterol, which has the impact of increasing cholesterol removal from circulation.

10 grams a day of psyllium husk can reduce LDL cholesterol by up to 20 to 24%.

I've also seen instances of people with IBS and gut issues being improved due to increased intake of psyllium husk.

As for brands, I would not recommend brands like Metamucil due to the maltodextrin content. Would recommend a general bulk brand that only has as the ingredient.


2. Do more neck training

One of the most underrated areas of the body that 99% of people don't train is their neck.

Think about it for a second...

You sit at a desk and look at a computer screen. You look down at your phone regularly. Your head is repeatedly in a forward posture making it tight and weak.

Strengthening your neck muscles can lead to such benefits as:

  • Improved breathing
  • Improved posture
  • Improved balance and coordination
  • Injury prevention
  • Reduction of neck and back pain
  • Release of tension and stiffness

How do you train it?

My friend Luka Hocevar did a series of neck training exercises you can incorporate on his Instagram channel.  and add them to your training regimen.


3. Drink water before meals

This is an underrated habit to increase water intake and feel fuller from each meal.

This has been especially helpful for me because I tend to overeat due to being a fast eater.

A habit that a few of our clients incorporate is 2 glasses of water before a meal. One of our clients was able to drop 40 lbs off his body with this one little trick.
